The September month kicked off and all of the fall sports are in the middle of they’re season.The month has had a whirlwind of events happening each week. Fulshear has accommodated very well being the new school to the 6a Division. These are the top scores of the most important sports on campus.
Football
Fulshear Football has been absolutely dominating this past month. This month’s opponents consisted of Ridge Point, Fort Bend Austin, Centennial, and Alief Taylor. Since the beginning of the season in August, Varsity football hasn’t lost a game. The scores of the game were Ridge Point 49-41, Fort Bend Austin 55-14, Centennial 62-7, and Alief Taylor 48-19. They are absolutely crushing it and are ready to head into the playoff season in November.
JV and Freshmen have had a more rocky start but they;re sure the coaches are getting them back on track. Apart from that information, good news is that Fulshear High School has moved up in Texas High School 6A Football rankings. From 14th place, heading into 11th.
Volleyball
Charger Varsity Volleyball has also had a very progressive and exciting month. Ranked ninth in the state and have won 24 of they’re 30 games in the normal season. September’s opponents were Clear Springs, Stratford, Concordia Lutheran, Pearland, and Alief Taylor. The overall scores being Clear Springs 3-1, Stratford 2-3, Concordia Lutheran 3-0, Pearland 2-3, and Alief Taylor 3-0.
Players that broke records this month were Alexys James with 66 assists in a game and Sydney Black, who broke her own personal record with 40 digs in a match,
Tennis
Last, for our fall sports we have Charger Tennis. Sadly, they’re last matchups are in September, and they’re fall season will be over. But in January, they start they’re spring season back up again and will be ready as ever. The opponents of the month were Westside, Foster, Strake Jesuit, George Ranch, and Elsik. The final scores for Varsity Tennis where. Westside 16-3, Foster 2-17, Strake Jesuit 3-16, George Ranch 3-16, Elsik 11-8.
Tennis has a few more matches for the upcoming month of October. In their offseason they will train and work harder for the spring season.
The thrilling performance by these athletes has been spectacular to watch over the past couple of months. The dedication, hard work, and strategic brilliance displayed throughout the games have been nothing but inspiring to watch. As we look forward to the next few months, the anticipation is high, and it’s clear that this school has nothing but success coming its way.
